An elated Dishita on making it big in Bollywood, her love for camera and upcoming flick 'Hindi M

With 4 movies and 30 Ads to her credit, this little wonder is going places . Seen in some recent Bollywood Blockbusters like Baby, Neerja, Dear Zindagi, Dishita Sehgal is the new kid in Bollywood to watch out for.

On first assignment in Bollywood

Her first assignment was the movie Baby. Her mother had shared Dishita's pictures with many casting agencies. One morning her mother received a mail from one such agency and a request to meet casting director Vicky Sidana. She went to his office along with her mother and met the casting team and gave on the spot audition. As luck would have it, before she could reach home her mother got a call confirming her role in Neeraj Pandey's flick Baby. Dishita was to play Akshay Kumar's daughter Ananya.

On managing both academics and work.

Her parents are extremely selective about the projects they choose for her. Her mother adds" Dishita knows that studies come first and the matter of fact is that she loves going to school. So unless its a big brand project we do not make her miss her school. That aside, even her school and teachers have been extremely supportive . The good news is that she is good both in academics and extracurricular activities.

How did Dear Zindagi happen?

Dishita was called for a movie audition for an upcoming Dharma movie for the role of girl who would play Alia's childhood. Her parents were quite elated to give this one a shot as when Dishita was 2, often friends would say that she resembles Alia a lot. She cleared the audition and started shooting for the role in Goa.

On challenges ( in case any) when working with big celebrities

Fortunately none.

How supportive/ cordial are celebrities who are big Bollywood stars?

She has worked with Bollywood biggies like Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Tisca Chopra and with directors like Neeraj Pandey, Pradeep Sarkar, Ram Madhvani, Gauri Shinde, Saket Chaudhary. All have been extremely supportive and caring. In fact Akshay in between used to play with her to make her comfortable.

One pleasant memory from a film set?

What makes shooting very special is the praises and accolades that she receives from one and all. The affirmation that she will go a long way is overwhelming.

The best comment that she ever got from a seasoned actor/ Director

That she is one of the most well behaved child and Its a delight to work with her.

Is TV difficult or doing a movie.

With a doubt TV as it requires lot of time and involvement as compared to doing movies.

Projects in the pipeline

Hindi Medium produced by Maddock Films set to release on 12th May 2017. A film that is a must watch for all parents and school authorities.
