Thematic Birthday Parties, Return Gifts, Bringing in Birthdays at MacDonalds or Dominos is the fad today. Though I am yet to embrace motherhood, I do get the opportunity to attend Birthday Parties of Little Ones, Thanks to my friends, neighbors and relatives. One such party that I attended last week had my eyes rolling as what I witnessed was a 'Motion Cake' as Pikaboos likes to call it.

I was told that the Birthday Boy is a big Jungle Book fan and the parents wanted to surprise him with a revolutionary cake, as I would like to put it and hence came on board Pikaboos a pattesire located at Godbunder Road Thane. This cake shop specialises in giving life to cakes. That sounds so straight from Alice In Wonderland, isn't it! Wait till you see it, I had say. The jungle book theme cake not only had the king of the jungle - Mowgli swinging from one side to the other, but also showcased an entire jungle revolving right in front of our eyes.

One could have never imagined the creativity that could be brought in the field of cake baking and like this and of this level. I couldn't stop myself from taking coordinates of the lady who was behind this and did make that call to her.

Upon speaking with the owner, I learnt that she has baked various thematic motion cakes and what really left me spellbound was a cake that she created for a dance lover! No prizes for guessing that this was a Dance Floor Cake that had disco lights lighting up the entire floor while music played in the background.
